Abandoned Properties Organization (APO), Cabinet Division, Government of Pakistan, Karachi invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced Advocates for engagement on a contractual basis with a monthly retainership. The selected legal professional will provide legal advisory services, representation, and conduct litigation in high-value cases involving the recovery of public funds and movable assets, including complex matters related to banking transactions, PIBs, T-Bills, financial fraud, and corporate disputes.

Terms & Conditions

• Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be duly registered and authorized to practice law in Pakistan.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in handling corporate, banking, financial, commercial, and recovery litigation.

  • Demonstrated experience representing public sector organizations, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, or government departments is preferred.

  • Must be an active taxpayer with a valid NTN, income tax, and sales tax registration certificates (where applicable).

• Terms of Reference:

  • Issuance of this EOI does not constitute an offer or legal obligation upon APO to appoint any Advocate.

  • APO reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOIs, or cancel/amend the procurement at any stage without incurring liability.

  • APO may verify information, negotiate scope/fee with shortlisted applicants, or debar any applicant found guilty of fraud, misrepresentation, or breach of confidentiality.

• Selection Process:

  • EOIs will be evaluated by a committee constituted by APO.

  • Shortlisted Advocates may be invited for a presentation or interview.

How to Apply

1. Prepare your application dossier containing:

   • Detailed Profile/CV.

   • List of major reported and unreported cases handled, especially over the last 5 years involving significant financial stakes.

   • Details of public sector clients served.

   • Active Taxpayer Certificate and NTN registration.

   • Affidavit confirming true and correct information.

   • Declaration of absence of conflict of interest.

   • Undertaking to maintain strict confidentiality.

   • Declaration of compliance with applicable laws, ethics, and APO directions.
