CTI Jobs 2026 Apply Online College Teaching Interns Punjab Higher Education Department

The Higher Education Department (HED), Government of Punjab, has authorized all 550 public sector colleges across the province to recruit College Teaching Interns (CTIs) for the academic session 2026–27. This initiative aims to address the shortage of teaching staff by filling vacant professor and lecturer positions on a daily-wage/stipend basis rather than making permanent or regular contract appointments. Local residents meeting the criteria are encouraged to apply.

List of Vacancies with Details

• College Teaching Interns (Intermediate Level)

  • Details: Instructors required to teach intermediate-level classes across public colleges in Punjab.

  • Monthly Stipend: PKR 50,000/-

• College Teaching Interns (Graduate / BS Level)

  • Details: Instructors required to teach graduate and BS-level classes across public colleges in Punjab.

  • Monthly Stipend: PKR 60,000/-

Eligibility Criteria

For Graduate Colleges (BS Colleges) : MS/M.Phil/Ph.D (However, in case no candidate with such degree has applied M.A/M.Sc may be considered)

For all other colleges including community colleges: Master Degree / BS (FYDP) at least 2nd Division in the relevant subject.

Transfer of Post: The placement shall be subject and college specific.

Joining Period: The College Teaching Interns (CTI) will have to join duties within seven (07) days after the issuance of offer of placement otherwise the offer shall stand withdrawn.

Note; There will be NO THIRD DIVISION in the entire educational career. If found, the candidate will be disqualified at the once.

Terms & Conditions

• Eligibility Qualification: Candidates must hold a BS, MA, or MSc/M.Phil degree. Professional teaching qualifications like B.Ed or M.Ed are not required.

• Age Limit: Applicants must fall within the age bracket of Maximum age to 40 years. .

• Domicile & Placement: Appointments will be made from among the residents of the respective district, with recruitment managed directly at the relevant local colleges.

• Duration of Internship: Initially made for seven months (from September 2026 to March 2027), with the possibility of extension.

• Leave Policy: Interns are entitled only to gazetted holidays and Sundays and are not allowed casual or other leaves. Any unauthorized absence will result in a deduction from their remuneration on a daily-wage basis.

• Legal Status: These positions are purely temporary internships, and candidates will have no right to claim regular or permanent employment.

Merit Calculation Criteria

The merit score for CTI selection is calculated based on a standardized 100-point total scoring matrix that accounts for academic qualifications and interview performance:

• Academic Qualifications: Up to 85 Marks are allocated based on the candidate's degree levels (such as Bachelor's, Master's, BS, MS, or MPhil/PhD). Percentages or CGPAs from Detailed Mark Certificates (DMCs) are converted into equivalent marks using official Higher Education Commission (HEC) conversion formulas.

• Higher/Additional Qualifications: Up to 05 Marks are awarded for qualifications above the standard Master's requirement (e.g., MS, MPhil, or PhD).

• Position Holders: Up to 05 Marks are granted to board or university position holders upon production of an official certificate from the respective Controller of Examinations.

• Interview / Presentation: Up to 05 Marks are awarded based on a satisfactory subject presentation and interview conducted by the college's internal selection committee.

• Online portal is active open now for profile updation, update your profile for Upcoming CTI Jobs 2026. When CTI Portal will update about colleges CTI Seats, apply without any problem of website down errors.

• Submit Online applications along with required academic documents to the respective colleges Online within the announced schedule.

The recruitment process is scheduled to be completed dynamically throughout September 2026. Candidates should visit their local public colleges & Official CTI Portal promptly to check specific deadlines and vacancy displays.
