List of Vacancies in Education Department Gilgit-Baltistan (GB)

1. Associate Professor / Principal (Male) (BS-19)

  • Department: Higher Technical and Special Education Department GB / GB Colleges, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan

  • Status: Permanent

  • Minimum Qualification & Experience:

    • Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university with 8 years of post-qualification teaching and administrative experience at the College/University level; OR

    • M.Phil. degree in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university with 10 years of post-qualification teaching and administrative experience at the College/University level; OR

    • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Master's degree in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university with 12 years of post-qualification teaching and administrative experience at the College/University level.

  • Age Limit: 32–40 years + 5 years general age relaxation (Up to 45 years).

  • Domicile / Quota: Gilgit-Baltistan (Open Merit).

  • Place of Posting: Anywhere in Gilgit-Baltistan.

2. Assistant Professor (Male) (BS-18)

  • Department: Education Department, GB Colleges, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan

  • Status: Permanent

  • Minimum Qualification & Experience:

    • Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university with 1 year of post-qualification teaching/administrative experience at the College/University level; OR

    • M.Phil. degree in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university with 3 years of post-qualification teaching/administrative experience at the College/University level; OR

    • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Master's degree in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university with 5 years of post-qualification teaching/administrative experience at the College/University level.

  • Categories:

    • (A) Accounting & Finance

    • (B) Computer Science

    • (C) English

    • (D) Psychology

    • (E) Tourism & Hospitality Management

  • Age Limit: 25–35 years + 5 years general age relaxation (Up to 40 years).

  • Domicile / Quota: Gilgit-Baltistan (Open Merit = 4, Minorities / Non-Muslims Quota = 1).

  • Place of Posting: Anywhere in Gilgit-Baltistan.

  • Note: Candidates must clearly indicate the category (A to E) for which they are applying in their online application form. A separate online application and fee must be submitted for each subject category.

3. Lecturer (Male / Female) (BS-17)

  • Department: Education Department, GB Colleges, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan

  • Status: Permanent

  • Minimum Qualification:

    • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Master's degree or 4-year Bachelor's degree (BS) in the relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Age Limit: 22–28 years + 5 years general age relaxation (Up to 33 years).

  • Domicile / Quota: Gilgit-Baltistan (Open Merit & Reserved Quotas as per federal guidelines).

  • Place of Posting: Anywhere in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Terms & Conditions

  • Online Fee Payment: Candidates must pay the prescribed application fee (Rs. 750/- for BS-18 and BS-19, Rs. 300/- for BS-17) online via 1-Link against a dedicated PSID generated on the FPSC portal.

  • Departmental Permission Certificate (DPC): In-service government employees must secure a DPC from their parent department before applying and reference its details in the online form.

  • General Age Relaxation: Upper age limit includes 5 years of general age relaxation granted under Federal Government rules.

  • Separate Applications: If applying for multiple subjects/categories, candidates must submit individual online application forms and separate processing fees for each post.

  • Test & Interview Screening: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written MCQs/subjective screening test followed by a formal interview.

  2. Generate PSID: Access the fee payment section to generate a unique PSID number.

  3. Pay Application Fee: Deposit the application fee using any 1-Link supported ATM, Mobile Banking app, Internet Banking, or digital wallet.

  4. Complete Online Application: Fill in academic credentials, domicile information, personal details, and DPC references accurately.

  5. Print Form: Save and print a copy of the submitted online form and transaction voucher for future administrative verification.
