AJK Electricity Department Jobs 2026: Assistant Lineman Vacancies

The Electricity Department Muzaffarabad Circle is inviting applications from state subjects of Jammu and Kashmir for several vacant positions of Assistant Lineman (BPS-07) on a temporary/ad-hoc basis.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Matriculate from a recognized University or Board.

  • Note: The Matriculation condition does not apply to existing work-charge employees transitioning to the regular cadre.

  • Note: For sons of AJKED employees, the minimum qualification is Middle pass, though Matriculate is preferred.

• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 41 years.

• Training: Fresh inductees must undergo one year of training after induction.

 

Terms and Selection Process

• Quota Distribution: 75% of seats are filled via merit/competition (from senior-most work-charge staff and open market candidates), while 25% are reserved for the employment of sons of AJKED employees.

• Preference: Candidates with experience working in the electricity department on a work-charge or contract basis will be given preference.

• Application Submission: Applicants must attach attested copies of their State Subject certificate, educational documents, and CNIC.
