The Government of Sindh, Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has announced several new vacancies within its Narcotics Control Wing. Applications are invited via the Sindh Job Portal from eligible candidates who hold a Sindh Domicile (Urban/Rural splits apply).

Eligibility Criteria for All Posts

1. Key Punch Operator (BPS-14)

• Total Number of Posts: 09

  • Rural Quota (60%): 05 posts

  • Urban Quota (40%): 04 posts

  • Women Quota: 15% reserved within the allocation

• Education: Intermediate with a diploma in computer applications from a recognized Board of Secondary Education (at least Second Division).

• Skills: Must pass an aptitude test and possess a data entry keypunching speed of at least 8000 KPDH (Key Depressions Per Hour).

• Age Limit: 21 to 28 years.

2. Computer Operator (BPS-12)

• Total Number of Posts: 01 (Rural Quota)

• Education: Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Computer Information Technology (CIT) from the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) or any other recognized technical institute (Second Division); OR an Intermediate certificate from a recognized board along with a 6-month certificate/diploma course in MS Office from a recognized technical board or institute.

• Skills: Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.

• Age Limit: 21 to 28 years.

3. Accounts Assistant (BPS-11)

• Total Number of Posts: 23

  • Rural Quota (60%): 14 posts

  • Urban Quota (40%): 09 posts

  • Women Quota: 15% reserved

  • Differently-Abled Quota: 5% reserved

  • Minority Quota: 5% reserved

• Education: Graduation from an HEC-recognized university with at least a Second Division in B.Com, BBA, or BA Economics.

• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a relevant financial or accounts field.

• Age Limit: 21 to 28 years.

4. Lady Excise Constable (BPS-07)

• Total Number of Posts: 09

  • Rural Quota (60%): 05 posts

  • Urban Quota (40%): 04 posts

• Education: Intermediate (at least a 'C' Grade) from a recognized Board of Intermediate Education.

• Physical Standards: * Height: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches)

  • Physical Endurance Run: 800 meters walking/running test to be completed within 14 minutes.

• Age Limit: 18 to 28 years.

Key Terms & Selection Process

• Screening Test Requirement: For all non-uniform posts (Intermediate and Graduation categories), candidates must have cleared the general screening test conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS) with a minimum score of 40%. An active STS certificate is mandatory for selection.

• Age Relaxation: Official age relaxation policies set by the Government of Sindh will apply where applicable.

• Government Employees: Candidates currently working in the public sector must submit their applications through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before the final interview.

• Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the job portal to appear for interviews and physical evaluations (where applicable) along with their original academic credentials and domicile certificates. No TA/DA is admissible.
