Position Overview

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

Providing legal expertise for Criminal & Civil Customs cases under the Customs Act 1969.
Representing the Directorate before the Court of Special Judge Customs, Customs Appellate Tribunal, Lahore High Court, FTO, and the President of Pakistan.
Conducting legal research and drafting Customs Appeals, References, and Parawise-comments.
Assisting in clearing the backlog of Customs cases.
Developing internal databases for Customs case-law and decision-making tools.
Liaising with field formations and performing other legal tasks as assigned.

Basis: Full-time, contractual basis.
Duration: Initial engagement is for one year, extendable based on performance and FBR requirements.
Remuneration: Monthly salary in the range of PKR 300,000/-, depending on qualifications and experience.
Interview Requirements: Candidates must produce original documents at the time of the interview; no TA/DA is admissible.

Education: LLB from an HEC recognized University (Equivalence Certificate required for foreign degrees).
Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification Advocacy experience in the High Court, preferably in Taxation/Customs matters.
Enrollment: Only candidates enrolled as an Advocate High Court are eligible.
