The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), Islamabad, has officially issued a public notice inviting online applications for the MCQs Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the CSS Competitive Examination-2027. Qualifying the MPT is mandatory for all aspirants intending to apply and appear in the main written examination for CSS CE-2027.

The preliminary test will be held simultaneously in 19 major cities across Pakistan on 27th September, 2026 (Sunday). The examination process shall be strictly governed by the CSS CE Rules, 2019, without any exceptions. Interested candidates must review all eligibility criteria and submit their applications online before the specified deadline.

Terms & Conditions

• Mandatory Requirement: Qualifying the MPT is a prerequisite for appearing in the main CSS Competitive Examination (CE-2027).

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree (Second Division) from a recognized university.

• Age Limit: Candidates must be 21 to 30 years old as of the cutoff date. A 2-year age relaxation is admissible to specific categories as outlined in Rule 6.

• Cutoff Date: The cutoff date for determining age, qualification, domicile, and general eligibility criteria is 31st December 2026 (per Rule 5).

• Provisional Admission: Under Rules 11(20) and 11(21), candidates are provisionally admitted at their own risk. If found ineligible at any stage, candidature will be canceled regardless of test appearance or qualification.

• Examination Center: The examination center selected during online submission cannot be changed under any circumstances.

• Admission Certificates: Admission certificates can be downloaded from the FPSC website at least 10 days prior to the test. No separate physical intimation will be dispatched.

• Conduct Rules: FPSC maintains zero tolerance against cheating or the use of unfair means.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official FPSC website: www.fpsc.gov.pk.

2. Click on the 'Apply Online' link, create an account, or log into the online registration portal.

3. Complete or update your profile, fill in the application form for MPT-2027, and generate the 16-digit PSID.

4. Pay the registration fee of Rs. 250/- using the PSID via 1-Link facility (ATMs, Mobile Banking Apps such as Easypaisa/JazzCash, Internet Banking, or over the counter at any 1-Link member bank).

   • Note: Fees paid via old FPSC Challan Forms (TR-6), cheques, bank drafts, or pay orders will not be accepted.

5. After depositing the fee, log back into the FPSC portal to enter the remaining details and complete final submission.
