Government College University Lahore, celebrating 162 years of excellence, has launched its first-ever "GCU Summer Internship Program (GCU-SIP)". This strategic initiative is designed to offer meaningful, hands-on professional training to BS-level students. By integrating talented youth into a vibrant ecosystem of governance, research, and academic operations, the program focuses on developing competent leaders for Pakistan's future.

This program is fully open to undergraduates currently enrolled at GCU as well as those from any other HEC-recognized higher education institution. It is also valid for fulfilling the compulsory BS internship criteria required under the HEC undergraduate policy.

Terms & Conditions

Prospective student applicants must strictly fulfill the enrollment conditions and schedule rules:

Eligibility Standards:

• Academic Progress: Candidates must have successfully completed their BS 4th semester (or equivalent to two full years of undergraduate studies) from GCU or any HEC-recognized university/college.

• Academic Standing: Applicants must maintain a good academic standing.

• Awaiting Results: Students who are currently awaiting their academic results are also eligible to apply.

Duration & Schedule:

• Total Duration: The internship spans a period of 6 to 8 weeks.

• Tentative Period: It is scheduled to take place between July and August.

• Weekly Commitment: Internees must commit to working 5 days a week.

• Location: The program will primarily take place at the Main Campus or the KSK Campus.

Financials & Certification:

• No Compensation: No stipend, honorarium, or financial compensation will be paid to the selected internees.

• No Application Fees: GCU does not charge any processing or registration fee for this program.

• Certification Requirements: An official program completion certificate will only be awarded upon the successful fulfillment of the internship duration and a positive evaluation report submitted by the supervisor.

• Slot Availability: The selection and final department placement of any internee are subjected strictly to the availability of designated slots.
