The Government of the Punjab Agriculture Department has announced multiple contract-based job opportunities under the "Transformation of Agriculture in Thal" (2026-27 to 2028-29) project, operating through the Directorate General Agriculture (Water Management), Punjab. Qualified candidates domiciled in Punjab are invited to apply for these high-profile technical and management roles.

List of Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria

• (01 Deputy Project Officer (Technical)): Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, or equivalent with a minimum 2nd division and 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

• (01 Accounts Officers): Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting & Finance, or equivalent with 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in foreign/ADP funded or private sector projects.

• (02 Assistant Project Officer (Water Management)): B.Sc. Agri. Engineering, B.Sc. (Hons) Water Management, Agriculture, or equivalent (16 years of education) with 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Terms and Conditions

• Relaxation in the upper age limit is not admissible.

• Retired government servants are not eligible, and contract appointments are temporary, non-transferable, and non-pensionable for an initial period of 1 year.

• Recruitment will be made strictly on merit on an all-Punjab basis.

• Selected candidates are not entitled to the benefit of any pay protection and regularization.

• No posts fall under the quota reserved for women, minorities, and disabled persons.
