The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has announced new highly prestigious career opportunities for experienced, accomplished, and dynamic corporate or public sector administrative leaders. These senior management posts are available on a regular basis under the standard BPS pay structures, offering a platform to manage and regulate higher education excellence nationwide. Selected candidates can be posted at the HEC Headquarters in Islamabad or at any of its vibrant Regional Centres located in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta.

General Eligibility Criteria & Terms
To ensure transparent and high-standard recruitment, HEC Pakistan has laid down the following unified qualifications and procedural rules for all candidates:

Basic Academic Standards: Applicants must hold a PhD degree, an MPhil degree (18 years of education), or a Master's degree (16 years of education) in a relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

Mandatory Professional Background: A minimum of 10 years of experience in General or University Administration is strictly required.

Cumulative Field Experience: Total field experience must be gained after attaining the required basic educational qualification and must strictly be at the BPS-17 tier or above (or equivalent) within a Government, Semi-Government, Public Sector Organization, Autonomous Body, or major Corporation:

At least 13 years of post-qualification experience is required for PhD holders.

At least 15 years of post-qualification experience is required for MPhil holders.

At least 17 years of post-qualification experience is required for Master's degree holders.

Age Limits: The minimum age limit is 40 years, and the maximum age limit is 55 years. A general five-year age relaxation has already been factored into the listed maximum age cap.

Regional Seat Quotas: Selection will follow strict statutory allocations: 1 seat on Merit, 2 seats for Punjab, 1 seat for Sindh (Rural), and 1 seat for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Exclusions: Part-time, honorary, apprentice, and trainee or internee positions will under no circumstances be counted as valid professional experience.

In-Service Candidates: Applicants who are already serving in Government or public sector entities must route their employment files through the proper channel.

Interview Protocol: Virtual evaluation options (audio/video web conferencing) can be arranged for shortlisted candidates residing outside the Islamabad/Rawalpindi region at their nearest regional HEC offices. No TA/DA is admissible for any test or interview stage.
