Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic business plan to meet Board of Directors (BoD) objectives.

• Market Reform: Lead the development of the wholesale electricity market framework and power system planning.

• Digital Transformation: Oversee the adoption of modern energy management systems including EMS/SCADA and AI-driven forecasting.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full alignment with NEPRA and Government of Pakistan statutory frameworks.

• Stakeholder Management: Build collaborative relationships with the Ministry of Energy, NEPRA, and development partners.

• Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, financial sustainability, and tariff-based cost-recovery models.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting (or professional accounting membership), or Law from an HEC recognized institution.

• Experience: * At least 20 years of experience in the power/energy sector.

  • Minimum 5+ years in senior executive leadership roles (as CEO or reporting directly to a CEO).

• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in power system operations, electricity markets, or transmission system management.

• Familiarity: Knowledge of international standards such as ENTSO-E or NERC is highly preferable.

Terms & Compensation

• Tenure: Initial contract for 3 years, renewable based on performance under the SOE Act, 2023.
