The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has officially announced career opportunities for Pakistani nationals for appointment on a Regular Basis (BPS). Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Professor across multiple academic departments, including Zoology, Management Sciences, Forest Sciences, Chemistry, and Bio-Technology. Qualified individuals holding a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline from HEC-recognized universities are encouraged to apply online followed by hard copy submission before the deadline.

Terms & Conditions

• Eligibility & Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized University / Institution.

• Age Limit: 21 to 50 years. Age relaxation may be considered as per IUB Teachers (Appointment & Special Conditions of Service) Statutes, 1977.

• Foreign Degrees: Foreign qualified candidates must attach an Equivalence Certificate from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). If the degree hasn't been issued, a Certificate/Notification signed strictly by the Controller of Examination of the degree-awarding university may be accepted.

• Experience: Statement of experience must be supported by official certificates from employers.

• Quotas & Placement: All quotas will be reserved per rules. The University utilizes the services of appointees at any campus of the University.

• Government Servants & IUB Employees: Candidates already in service of Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous bodies must submit a copy of NOC along with their application. IUB employees must route hard copies through the proper channel. Advance copies will not be entertained.

• University Rights: The University reserves the right not to fill/withdraw any post, withhold appointments, adjust candidates to lower cadres, alter the number of posts, or shortlist candidates based on academic qualifications and experience.

• General: Applications received by hand or after the due date will not be accepted. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official online portal: eportal.iub.edu.pk

2. Fill out the online application form carefully and generate the online fee challan.

3. Deposit the non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 3,000/- using the generated fee challan.

4. After online submission, prepare 02 complete sets of hard-copy applications. Each set must include:

   • Printed online application form.

   • Attested copies of educational degrees, transcripts, and experience certificates.

   • One latest passport-size photograph per set.

   • One copy of the online paid fee challan.

   • NOC (if applicable).

5. Send both complete sets strictly via Registered Mail or Courier Service (by-hand submission is not allowed) to the following address:
