The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has announced highly prestigious career opportunities for medical professionals to join as Commissioned Officers in the Medical Branch under the 137 Combat Support Course.

Online registration opens soon for eligible male and female Pakistani citizens who wish to serve the nation while advancing their medical careers in a world-class environment. All candidates must possess a valid NADRA Smart CNIC and a registration certificate from the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).

Medical Branch Categories & Eligibility Criteria

1. Medical Branch Specialists (SPSSC)

  • Rank: Squadron Leader

  • Age Limit: 25–35 years on 15 October, 2026

  • Training Period: 24 weeks at PAFAA

  • Nationality: Male and Female citizens of Pakistan

  • Educational Qualification: Specialization in the following disciplines from a Pakistani or foreign medical college/university recognized by the PMDC:

    • Eye Specialist: FCPS / FRCS (OPTH) / Diplomate of American Board

    • Anesthetist: FCPS / FRCA / Diplomate of American Board

    • Radiologist: FCPS / MRCR / FRCR / Diplomate of American Board

    • ENT Specialist: FCPS / MRCS (ENT) / FRCS (ENT) / Diplomate of American Board

    • Psychiatrist: FCPS / FRCP / MRCP / Diplomate of American Board

    • Neuro Surgeon: FCPS / FRCS / MRCS / Diplomate of American Board

    • Orthopedic Surgeon: FCPS / FRCS / Diplomate of American Board

2. Medical Branch - General Duty Medical Officers / GDMOs (SPSSC)

  • Rank: Flight Lieutenant

  • Age Limit: 25–35 years on 15 October, 2026

  • Training Period: 24 weeks at PAFAA

  • Nationality: Male and Female citizens of Pakistan

  • Educational Qualification: MBBS with a minimum 1st Division or equivalent from a PMDC-recognized Pakistani or foreign medical college/university.

  • Experience Requirement: Candidates must have completed a minimum of one year of house job in an institution recognized by the PMDC. Preference will be given to individuals with relevant field experience post-house job.

  • Special Note: Candidates who have cleared FCPS-I after December 25 are also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

The recruitment process involves a systematic step-by-step evaluation to ensure the highest standards:

  1. Online Registration: Apply through the official recruitment portal.

  2. Academic & Intelligence Tests: Initial testing in relevant subjects at respective I&SC.

  3. Medical & Physical Screening: Initial medical examination, physical test, and preliminary interview at PAF I&SC.

  4. Psychological Evaluation: Detailed psychological test conducted for shortlisted candidates only.

  5. Initial Interview: Interview by the AHQ Selection Board at Rawalpindi, Lahore, or Karachi.

  6. Final Medical Exam: Comprehensive medical evaluation at CMB, Lahore.

  7. Final Interview: Final interview rounds conducted by the AHQ Selection Board in Islamabad.

  8. Merit List: Final selection determined strictly by AHQ based on the order of merit.

Ineligibility Conditions

Prospective applicants are ineligible if they meet any of the following conditions:

  • Rejected twice by ISSB / GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection Boards (with specific clauses for postgraduate and intermediate entries as detailed in the official notification).

  • Twice screened out by ISSB.

  • Dismissed, removed, or debarred from Government Services, including the Armed Forces.

  • Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense.

  • Permanently declared medically unfit by the Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB) or declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C.

  • Withdrawn, discharged, resigned, or purchased release from any Armed Forces academy or training institution on any disciplinary ground.

  • Found guilty of tampering with academic certificates, forgery, or concealment of facts to gain an undue advantage.
