The Pakistan Army has announced an incredible opportunity for female nursing professionals to serve the nation. Applications are now open for the Armed Forces Nursing Service (AFNS) as Trained Nurses (Entry 1st Half 2026). Successful candidates will be granted the prestigious rank of Lieutenant upon completion of training.

General Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a commission in the AFNS, applicants must meet the following unified standards:

  • Gender & Marital Status: Female only; candidates may be married or unmarried.

  • Age Limit: Between 18 and 28 years (as of June 01, 2026).

  • Education: Must have completed Nursing (4-year program).

  • Registration: Candidates must be registered with the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

  • Nationality: Citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir / Gilgit-Baltistan.

  • Physical Standards: * Minimum Height: 5’ Feet (152.4 cm).

    • Weight: As per Body Mass Index (BMI) standards.


Application & Selection Process

  • Registration Period: Registration is open from April 27 to April 28, 2026.

  • Preliminary Tests: Written, intelligence, and medical exams are scheduled for May 5–6, 2026. The written test covers English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.

  • How to Apply: Register online at www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk or visit the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RC).

  • Fee: A crossed postal order of Rs 100/- in favor of Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), GHQ Rawalpindi, is required.


Required Documents

When visiting the AS&RC, please bring the following:

  1. Attested photocopy of Matric certificate (or IBCC equivalence).

  2. Attested photocopy of CNIC or Form ‘B’.

  3. Attested photocopy of FSc Part-I (Pre-Medical) marks sheet and "Hope" certificate.

  4. Attested photocopy of BSN Degree/transcript.

  5. Attested passport-size photographs.
