The Government of the Punjab, Directorate General of Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education (L&NFBE), has announced a massive recruitment drive for Potential Elementary Teachers. Under the GPE STG Program, 1,000 ALP Middle School vacancies have been opened across 15 districts in Punjab to help bridge the educational gap for out-of-school children.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Minimum Graduation (14 years) with at least 50% marks. Higher or professional qualifications are preferred.

• Age Limit: 20 to 55 years.

• Gender: Male, Female, and Transgender candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Domicile: Must hold a Punjab domicile and reside permanently within the Union Council where the school is established.

• Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 per month.

• Quota: 60% of seats are reserved for Female candidates and 40% for Male candidates.

How to Apply for Literacy Punjab Jobs 2026

1. Online Registration: Candidates must visit the official website at https://literacy.punjab.gov.pk/ for online registration.

2. Special Requirement: To complete the registration, the candidate is bound to register a minimum of twenty (20) Out-of-School-Children (ages 10-16) from their community.

3. Submission Method: Only online applications will be accepted. Applications sent by hand, courier, or postal service will not be entertained.

4. Deadline: The last date to apply is April 17, 2026.

Important Note: Teachers will be appointed on a part-time/honorary/contract basis for one year, extendable based on performance. The selected teacher must also arrange one room of suitable size to establish the center.
