The National Assembly Secretariat of Pakistan is seeking a highly qualified professional for the position of Director General (IT) / Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on a contract basis (MP-II Scale).

Eligibility Criteria

1. Academic Qualifications

• Degree: 16 years of education in Cybersecurity, Info Security, Computer Science, or Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.

• Mandatory Certification: Must hold at least one top professional certification: CISSP, CCISO, or equivalent.

• Advantage: M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field and sector-specific certifications (CCSP, SANS, PCI-DSS, etc.).

2. Experience Requirements

• Ph.D. holders: 5 years post-qualification experience (3 years in senior leadership).

• MS holders: 7 years post-qualification experience (3 years in senior leadership).

• Bachelors (16 years): 10 years post-qualification experience.

• Expertise: Proven track record in digital transformation, GRC, SOC management, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001).

 

Core Responsibilities

• Digital Transformation: Lead the Directorate of IT and formulate policies for the automation of National Assembly processes.

• Cybersecurity Leadership: Develop and enforce enterprise-wide security strategies aligned with the Pakistan National Cybersecurity Policy 2021.

• Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and oversee the deployment of security tools (XDR, SIEM, SOAR).

• Liaison: Act as the primary contact for National CERT and other regulatory bodies.
