Job Details

• Job Title: Regional Agri Head (AVP / VP)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum Graduation, preferably in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Finance, or Marketing from an HEC-recognized institution.

• Candidates with a Master’s degree in these disciplines or JAIBP / AIBP certifications will be preferred.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 06 years of relevant experience in Agricultural Lending, Farm Credit Operations, or Agri-Business Management.

• Preference is given to those with experience in large commercial banks and hands-on expertise in managing regional agricultural portfolios and field teams.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong record of business acquisition and familiarity with agriculture finance risks.

• Excellent communication skills for report writing and client presentations.

• Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of banking laws and prudential regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy Implementation: Execute regional agri-business strategies aligned with national and IDG goals.

• Portfolio Management: Achieve disbursement, recovery, and profitability targets while ensuring portfolio diversification across farm and non-farm sectors.

• Operational Oversight: Monitor agri-loan portfolio quality and take timely corrective actions to minimize Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).

• Leadership: Lead and mentor Agriculture Team Leaders, Agri Officers, and field teams to ensure high performance.

• Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with farmers, NGOs, agri-input suppliers, and government departments.

• Representation: Represent NBP in regional forums, farmer gatherings, and agricultural exhibitions.
