This role offers an exciting opportunity for IT and banking professionals to contribute to NBP’s core banking solutions, software upgrade initiatives, and process re-engineering. Selected candidates will work within the Information Technology division to bridge business needs with state-of-the-art IT solutions.

Position: Business Analyst – Core Banking (OG-II / OG-I)

• Location: Karachi

• Reporting To: Unit Head – CBA Business Analysis

• Educational & Professional Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; OR

  • Graduation with a Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent from a local or international university/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan.

  • Candidates holding relevant professional certifications will be preferred.

• Experience Required:

  • Minimum 03 years of experience in the field of IT, with at least 01 year of experience in Business Analysis or a similar role, preferably in a Banking and/or Financial Institution.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in Core Banking Application(s) like FIS Profile.

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Expertise in translating business requirements into effective IT solutions.

  • Proficiency in designing or reviewing test cases and processing change requests according to project scope.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across executive, management, and technical levels.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills.

  • Solid understanding of digital banking, ADC channels, and integration layers.

• Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives for Core Banking Application(s) day-to-day operations and software upgrades.

  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into system requirement specifications.

  • Re-engineer business processes to enhance efficiency and document business metrics, strategies, and drivers.

  • Write test plans, execute test cases (system integration, readiness, acceptance tests), and review/report testing results.

  • Evaluate the impact of system modifications on users and internal/external stakeholders.

Terms & Conditions

• Employment Type: Contractual basis for three (03) years, renewable at the discretion of NBP Management.

• Compensation Package: Selected candidates will receive a market-competitive salary and benefits as per NBP policy and rules.

• Shortlisting & Assessment: Only shortlisted candidates meeting the basic eligibility criteria will be called for the assessment test and/or panel interview.

• Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test or interview.
