The National Tariff Commission (NTC) is responsible for the implementation of trade defense laws under the Anti-Dumping Duties Act 2015, Countervailing Duties Act 2015, and Safeguard Measures Ordinance 2002 in conformity with WTO Agreements. It also advises the Federal Government on customs tariffs under NTC Act 2015 to improve the competitiveness of the domestic industry. NTC is seeking to hire qualified professionals on a contract basis for vital roles to assist in implementation, investigations, economic research, tariff changes, and trade remedy measures.

List of Vacancies & Eligibility Details

• (01) Econometric Expert/Economist: PhD or Master's degree in Economics with +8 years of experience in applied economics and quantitative trade research.

• (01) Legal Assistant: Graduate, preferably a law graduate from an HEC-recognized institution with strong legal documentation and research skills.

Terms & Conditions

• Positions are offered on a contract basis initially for 1 to 2 years, with possible extensions based on performance evaluation and need.

• Selected candidates will receive an all-inclusive lump-sum base salary, which is subject to annual revisions with a 5% to 15% increase depending on satisfactory performance.

• Experience is counted only after obtaining the required qualification/degree.

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the Selection/Interview Committee in Islamabad, and individual inquiries will not be entertained.

• The department reserves the right to reject applications or cancel the hiring process without prior notice.

• No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the interview.
