The Pakistan Coast Guards (Headquarters, Kiyani Shaheed Road, Saddar, Karachi) has announced job opportunities for the position of Civilian Medical Officer on a contract basis. The initial contract is for two years, extendable based on the availability of the post. Interested and eligible candidates from Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir are encouraged to apply for these government contract positions.

List of Vacancies and Eligibility Details

• (02 Civilian Medical Officer (Male)): MBBS / FCPS preferred, with 1-year house job (6 months medicine and 6 months surgery preferred), plus age limit of 25 to 35 years (up to 45 years for retired Army officers).

Terms & Conditions

• Nationality: Pakistani citizens or Azad Jammu & Kashmir residents are eligible.

• Ineligibility: Individuals dismissed from government service or convicted by a court of law for moral turpitude are not eligible.

• Duty Station: Selected civilian doctors may be deployed anywhere within the provinces of Balochistan and Sindh.

• Tenure & Notice: The contract is initially for two years, and termination requires a one-month advance notice or forfeiture/payment of basic salary in lieu thereof.

• Practice Restrictions: According to policy, private practice is not allowed for civilian medical officers.

• Allowances & Training: Salary and other benefits will be provided according to BPS-17, and postgraduate training/courses will not be permitted during the contract period.

• Age Relaxation: General government rules apply for up to 5 years of age relaxation.
