The Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan, is inviting applications from dynamic, highly qualified individuals with leadership, communication, and management skills to head the Pakistan Halal Authority (PHA) in Islamabad.

• Director General (Pakistan Halal Authority - Islamabad)

  • Qualification: PhD, MS, M.Phil, M.Sc, B.E, or BS (Hons.) with Grade 'B' in Applied Sciences, Natural Sciences, Administrative Sciences, or relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Experience: Minimum 18 years post-qualification experience for PhD holders, 20 years for MS/M.Phil, or 22 years for M.Sc/BE/BS (Hons.) in public/private sectors (public sector preferred).

  • Other Requirements: Candidate must be Muslim, possess basic knowledge of Islamic Shariah regarding Halal, have good MS Office skills, and exhibit knowledge of WTO, TBT, and OIC/SMIIC systems. Master in Public Health along with MBBS will be preferred.

Terms & Conditions

• Pay and Allowances: Equivalent to BS-21.

• Age Limit: Maximum 55 years on the closing date of the advertisement.

• Tenure: Three (03) years contract basis.

• Nationality & Domicile: Pakistani citizens (Merit basis).

• Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews by the Selection Board.

• Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be admissible for candidates called for the interview.

• Government Employees: Serving government officers must apply through proper channels.
