Applications are invited by Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore for the engagement of retired supervisory staff of the Carriage & Wagon and Mechanical Loco Department on a contract basis for a period of one year from suitable retired employees subject to physical fitness, with a maximum age limit of 62 years.

List of Vacancies and Eligibility Details

• Carriage & Wagon Department:

  • (01 TXR/G-III): BPS-14, DAE/Mechanical with 20 years experience in Rolling Stock repair maintenance field.

  • (02 Foreman/Gr-I): BPS-14, DAE/Mechanical with 20 years experience in Rolling Stock repair maintenance field.

  • (06 TXR/Gr-II): BPS-12, DAE/Mechanical with 10 years experience in relevant field.

  • (08 Sub Engineer-II / Senior Chargeman): BPS-12, DAE/Mechanical with 10 years experience in relevant field.

  • (01 Mistry): BPS-09, Middle education with 10 years experience in relevant field.

  • (03 Skilled (C&W Fitter, Coach Builder, Welder)): BPS-06, Middle education with 10 years experience in relevant field.

• Loco Department:

  • (04 Foreman/Gr-I & Electrical Foreman/Diesel Gr-I): BPS-14, DAE/Mechanical with 10 years experience in relevant field.

  • (07 AFO/Sr. Chargeman, AEFO Diesel & FIC): BPS-12, DAE/Mechanical with 10 years experience in relevant field.

  • (04 JCM & S.E E Diesel): BPS-11, DAE/Mechanical with 10 years experience in relevant field.

  • (03 Misrty Mech: & Elect Diesel): BPS-09, Middle education with 10 years experience in relevant field.

  • (06 Skilled Wireman Diesel & Fitter Mech: & Electrical Diesel): BPS-06, Middle education with 10 years experience in relevant field.

Terms & Conditions

• Only retired employees who have worked in the above categories are eligible for contract appointment.

• The period of contract will be for one year and can be extendable further for one year if required.

• Selected retired employees will be required to pass a medical fitness examination from the Pakistan Railways Hospital only.

• No TA/DA will be paid to retired employees called for interview and medical examination.

• Individuals who were compulsorily dismissed or retired on medical grounds are not eligible for appointment.

• Selected employees will draw their salary (BS-06, BS-09, BS-11, BS-12, & BS-14) according to their last pay drawn along with usual allowances, without entitlement to gratuity or pension distribution.

• The competent authority has the right to reject any application or change the number of posts without assigning any reason.

How to Apply

• Typed applications along with a complete database must be accompanied by attested copies of educational certificates, computerized NIC, railway retired identity card/experience certificate, photocopy of PPO and LPC, service certificate, 3 passport-size photographs, and 3 postal envelopes with RAD cards, along with a postal order of Rs. 500.

• Applications must be submitted to the Chief Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Empress Road, Lahore.
