Role Overview

The CEO will be responsible for leading PSO into its next phase of growth, ensuring commercial success, operational excellence, and strategic transformation. The role focuses on delivering long-term value to stakeholders while navigating the evolving global energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities are extensive, focusing on high-level corporate governance and strategic growth:

• Financial & Operational Performance: Responsibility for Profit & Loss (P&L) and ensuring stellar operational results.

• Strategic Leadership: Executing strategic plans and overseeing major investment projects.

• Governance: Working closely with the Board of Directors and ensuring compliance with SOE (State-Owned Enterprise) laws.

• Stakeholder Management: Representing the company to international partners, the federal government, and other key stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria

The requirements for this role are high, reflecting the seniority of the position:

Category	Requirement
Education	At least a Graduate degree (16 years of education) in Engineering, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, Energy, Management, Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration. Post-graduate degrees or professional certifications (like CA/ACMA) are a plus.
Experience	Minimum 20 years of professional experience, preferably in large national or multinational organizations. At least 10 years must be in a senior management role (CEO/MD or one level below).
Financial Track Record	Must have directly generated an annual profit of at least 1 Billion PKR.
Nationality	Must be a Pakistani citizen.
Age Limit	Between 45 and 62 years as of the application deadline.

Contract and Location

• Tenure: 3-year contract, based on performance (as per the SOE Act 2023).

• Location: Karachi, Pakistan.
