The Planning and Development Department, Government of Balochistan has released an official recruitment notification (PRQ No. 1184/03-09-2026) seeking dynamic and efficient professionals for the executive position of Project Director. This appointment is for executing foreign-assisted development projects under Omani Grants in District Gwadar.

The role will initially be offered on a one-year contract basis, with the possibility of extension depending on performance evaluation and overall project duration.

  • Required Qualifications: BE/BS (Hons) Civil Engineering (PEC-registered), Project Construction Management and Design, Master's in Economics, Business/Public Administration (MBA/MPA), Master's in Project Management, Public Administration, Public Policy (MPP), or any other relevant degree from an HEC-recognized institution.

  • Experience: At least 5 to 7 years post-qualification experience in project management and implementation, along with reasonable experience in implementing foreign-funded programs/projects.

  • Age Limit: Minimum 40 Years and Maximum 62 Years

  • Local / Domicile: Balochistan Domicile Holders

Terms & Conditions

• Domicile Requirement: Candidates must possess a valid Balochistan Local / Domicile.

• Contract Duration: Initially for one year on a contract basis, extensible based on performance and project duration.

• Selection Criteria: Applications will be scrutinized per the Project Director Appointment Policy (GoB) dated December 31, 2025, and relevant donor guidelines.

• Gender Encouragement: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

• In-Service Applicants: Government employees or in-service candidates must submit their applications through the proper channel along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department.

• Re-application Requirement: Candidates who applied for this post previously under Advertisement PRQ No. 646/16-08-2025 must apply afresh.

• Shortlisting & TA/DA: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
