Applications are invited from eligible residents of Gilgit-Baltistan for the position of Corporal (BS-07) in the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), Gilgit Baltistan Police, against 457 vacant posts on an open merit system. Candidates who applied previously do not need to apply again.

• Corporal (BS-07): 457 total posts available on open merit for all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan.

  • Age Limit: 18 to 23 years (calculated up to the closing date of 21 September 2026).

  • Qualification: Minimum Matriculation from a recognized board, with preference given to higher qualifications, IT/computer science background, or driving skills.

  • Physical Standards for Male: Height 5 feet 7 inches; Chest 33 to 34.5 inches (with expansion).

  • Physical Standards for Female: Height 5 feet 2 inches.

Quota Distribution

• Male (Open Merit): 70 percent

• Female: 10 percent

• Minorities: 5 percent (reallocated to the general recruitment pool if minority candidates are unavailable)

• Ex-Servicemen (Retired SSG/Army): 15 percent

Terms & Conditions

• Candidates must possess a valid Gilgit Baltistan domicile.

• Ex-servicemen must apply within two years of retirement, with a maximum age limit of 40 years, and are recruited on a 5-year contract basis which is non-renewable.

• Selected candidates will face medical unfitness disqualification if suffering from any contagious disease, severe illness, or physical/visual impairment that impedes official duties.
