The Power Planning & Monitoring Company (PPMC), the technical and policy support arm of the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), is inviting applications from qualified professionals to join its specialized Consultant Pool.

Key Specialization Domains

PPMC is seeking consultants across the following six high-impact areas:

1. Design, Standards, and Material Inspection

• Operationalization of Design & Standards functions.

• Updating distribution network specifications and global benchmarking.

• Implementation of unified design policies across all DISCOs.

• Automation of Material Inspection processes.

2. Renewable Energy Integration & Digital Infrastructure

• Integration of DERs (Solar, Storage, EVs) into the distribution grid.

• Technical assessments of AMI, SCADA, EMS, and APMS.

• Cybersecurity and data governance for digital power infrastructure.

• Strategic input for energy efficiency and DSM (Demand Side Management).

3. Policy, Regulatory Affairs, and Market Reforms

• Updating policy and regulatory frameworks for the electricity value chain.

• Alignment with international standards and market reforms (Competitive Market Design).

• Integration of climate change mitigation and decarbonization into power planning.

4. Economics, Finance, and Risk Management

• Designing financing instruments and PPP (Public-Private Partnership) frameworks.

• Development of green finance and investment models for energy transition.

• Risk-based decision-making for policy initiatives and tariff structures.

5. Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Infrastructure Planning

• Conducting power system studies (Load flow, stability, contingency analysis).

• Utilizing tools like PSS®E, DIgSILENT, or ETAP.

• Proposing solutions for ancillary services (Statcoms, synchronous condensers).

6. Training and Capacity Building

• Development of customized technical training programs for PPMC and stakeholders.

• Fostering international collaboration for global best practices.
