Punjab Forest & Wildlife Department Jobs 2026 for Individual Consultants

The Office of the National Project Director, in collaboration with the Punjab Forest & Wildlife Department, is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified individual consultants. This project, titled "Combating land degradation through integrated and sustainable range and livestock management to promote resilient livelihoods in Northern Punjab," is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) with technical support from the FAO (United Nations).

Qualified professionals are invited for empanelment on a roster for short-term, need-based assignments through July 31, 2029, based in Lahore.


Areas of Expertise Required

The project is seeking experts in the following ten categories:

  • Policy & Management: Rangeland / Integrated Land Management (ILM) Policy Expert, National Rangeland Management Expert, and National ILM and Agriculture Policy Expert.

  • Technical & GIS: GIS Specialist (LDN / Decision Support System – DSS) and National GIS Expert.

  • Social & Engagement: Gender & Community Engagement Specialist and Communications Specialist.

  • Data & Monitoring: National LDN and Land Degradation (LD) Monitoring Expert and Data Management Expert (Monitoring & Evaluation).

  • Economic Development: District Level Value Chain (VC) Development Expert (Focusing on Forage, Dairy, Poultry, Acacia Resins, and Beekeeping).


Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Master’s degree (or higher) in relevant fields such as Forestry, Range Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, GIS, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Communications.

  • Experience: A minimum of 7–10 years of proven professional experience in the relevant field.

  • Donor Familiarity: Prior experience with UN agencies (FAO, UNDP), GEF, or other international donors is highly preferred.

  • Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with the Punjab context, specifically the Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum districts, is desirable.

  • Language: Fluency in both English and Urdu (written and spoken) is mandatory.


Nature of Engagement

Successful applicants will be placed on a professional roster until July 2029. Engagement is on a need-based, intermittent, and task-specific basis. When specific assignments arise, empaneled consultants will be invited to submit proposals against detailed Terms of Reference (TORs).
