The Special Education Department, Government of the Punjab, has announced new career opportunities for the hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs). Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Men, Women, and Transgender) to fill vacant teaching positions in various Special Education Institutions across the Sargodha Division (including Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar districts).

These positions are being filled under the STIs Policy notified by the Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department. • Junior Special Education Teacher - Visually Impaired Field (BS-16)

• Senior Special Education Teacher - Physically Handicapped Field (BS-17)

Terms & Conditions

Before preparing your application pack, please carefully read the terms, age limits, and selection guidelines below:

• Nature of Placement: The engagement shall be purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.

• Tenure: The internship duration is for 09 months (excluding Summer Vacations) during the Financial Year 2026-27 or till the arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier.

• Monthly Honorarium:

  • BS-17: Rs. 45,000/-

  • BS-16: Rs. 40,000/-

• Age Limit: The prescribed basic age limit is 21-28 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided as follows:

  • 05 Years for male candidates

  • 08 Years for female candidates

  • 15 Years for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) subject to the production of a valid Disability Certificate.

• Experience: Fresh aspiring candidates having relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply; however, preference may be given to candidates possessing teaching experience.

• TA/DA: No TA/DA will be admissible for test or interview attendance.

• Department Rights: The department reserves the right to increase, decrease, or change the number of posts at any time or terminate/cancel the recruitment process without assigning any reason.

How to Apply

Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria must submit their applications physically by following these guidelines:

1. Prepare your application along with attested copies of the following documents: An updated CV, CNIC, Domicile, Academic Certificates/Degrees, Equivalence Certificate of CGPA to percentage (if applicable), Experience Certificates (if any), and two passport-size photographs.

2. Candidates must clearly specify the exact post and the specific institution for which they are submitting their application.

3. Submit the application pack by hand or via courier to the office of the District Education Officer (Special Education), Y-Block, Street No. 22, New Satellite Town, Sargodha during office hours.

4. Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained under any circumstances.

5. Candidates must produce original documents at the time of the interview.

Note: The merit list will be displayed publicly at the office of the concerned Deputy Commissioner. Interviews of eligible/shortlisted candidates will be conducted at designated venues per district (Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, and Sargodha) between 12.09.2026 and 18.09.2026. No separate communication regarding interview appearance via letter, SMS, or email will be initiated.
