Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, has announced new career opportunities for Pakistani nationals to fill various staff positions purely on a contract basis. These positions are funded under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) project of the Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan, titled "Establishment of China-Pakistan Joint Research Centre (CPJRC) on Earth Sciences."

The project is currently being executed and administered at the prestigious Quaid-i-Azam University campus in Islamabad. List of Vacancies

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following Project Pay Scale (PPS) vacancies:

• Director Civil Works (PPS-9)

• Accountant / Accounts Officer (PPS-7)

• Computer Operator (PPS-6)

• Quantity Surveyor (PPS-6)

• Sub Engineer (PPS-5)

• Assistant (PPS-5)

• Attendant / Office Attendant (PPS-1)

Terms & Conditions

• Nature of Appointment: The appointments will be made initially for a period of one year. Subject to satisfactory performance and annual review, they are likely to be continued until the completion of the project.

• No Right to Regularization: These positions are purely project-based and confer no right to regularization or permanent appointment at any stage.

• Government Employees: Applicants already working in Government/Semi-Government Organizations or Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel, supported by a service certificate and an NOC issued by their current employer.

• Previous Applicants: Candidates who have already applied for these positions in response to the previous advertisement (and meet the prescribed qualifications) do not need to apply afresh; their earlier applications will be considered.

• Authority Rights: The Competent Authority reserves the right to increase, decrease, or not fill/withdraw any of the advertised positions at any stage without assigning any reason.

• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be formally contacted and called for a test or panel interview. No incomplete applications or those received after the due date will be entertained.

How to Apply

Interested candidates meeting the criteria can submit their applications by following these steps:

1. Obtain the Application Form: Download the official application form from the university's website at www.qau.edu.pk, or obtain it physically from the Administration Section / Admin Block of Quaid-i-Azam University.

2. Prepare the Application Package: Fill out the form accurately and attach:

   • 2 attested recent passport-size photographs.

   • Attested copies of your experience certificates.

   • Attested copies of educational testimonials, degrees, and transcripts.

   • Attested copies of Domicile and CNIC.

3. Pay the Application Fee: Deposit the non-refundable processing fee through a Bank Challan from the HBL Quaid-i-Azam University Branch, or via a Pay Order / Bank Draft (from any bank) drawn in favor of the Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. The fee structures are:

   • Rs. 2,000/- for Serial No. 01 to 02.

   • Rs. 1,000/- for Serial No. 03 to 06.

   • Rs. 500/- for Serial No. 07.
