The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, Department of School Education, has announced numerous teaching vacancies under the "Special Pay Scale Teachers for School Education" (SPS) project for the year 2024-25. These positions are purely temporary and offered for a period of one year.

Vacant Positions & Salary

A wide range of primary and higher secondary school positions are available across various tehsils and Union Councils (UCs).

Position	Minimum Qualification	Monthly Salary
Primary School (PS) Teacher	Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) with CT or equivalent.	Rs. 40,000/-
Higher Secondary School (HSS) Teacher	2nd Class or Grade "C" Bachelor Degree with B.Ed or equivalent.	Rs. 50,000/-

Regional Breakdown

• Diamer District: Vacancies are available in Sub-Divisions Darel, Tangir, and Chilas, covering areas such as Manikail, Samigal, Juglote, Gabbar, and Goherabad.

• Shigar District: Vacancies are located in Tissar, Gulabpur, and Shigar.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: 20–28 years (including all relaxations) on the closing date of application.

• Gender: Male candidates may apply for positions at Boys’ Schools, and Female candidates for positions at Girls’ Schools.

• Residency: Candidates must apply for positions within their respective Tehsil/UC or Hard Area and must provide a permanent domicile and residence certificate verified by the Assistant Commissioner.

• Physical Fitness: Applicants must be physically and mentally fit for the job.

Terms and Conditions

• Selection Process: Selection is based on 70% Test Marks, 15% Academic Marks, and 15% Interview performance.

• Quota: Reservations exist for minorities and disabled persons, provided they submit the required medical certificates.

• Transferability: Posts are non-transferable and terminable on short notice without assigning any reason.

• Expenses: No TA/DA is admissible for the test or interview.
