The Office of the District Education Officer (Special Education), Multan has announced a significant recruitment drive for School Teaching Interns (STIs). Following Notification No. SO(Estt)3-26/07(3859), applications are invited for various teaching positions in Special Education Institutions across District Lodhran.

These positions are designed to support inclusive education for the financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27, providing a platform for educators to serve students with special needs in Lodhran, Dunyapur, and Kehror Pacca.

General Eligibility Criteria

As per the STI Policy, candidates must fulfill the following qualification and age requirements:

• Age Limit: Applicants must be between 21 and 28 years old. Note that no age relaxation is granted under the STI Policy.

• Academic Qualifications:

  • For BS-17 Roles: M.A, M.Ed, or BS (1st Division/Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field (Hearing Impaired, Mentally Challenged, or Visually Impaired).

  • For BS-16 Roles: M.A or BS (2nd Division/Grade-C) in Special Education with relevant specialization.

  • For Speech Therapist: M.A/BS in Special Education plus a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy, OR a B.Sc (Hons) in Speech and Language Pathology.

• Technical Skill: For Visually Impaired (V.I) positions, a Certificate of Proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education, Punjab, is mandatory.

• Experience: Fresh candidates are encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to those with prior teaching experience.

Terms and Monthly Honorarium

• Nature of Job: Purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.

• Duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations).

• Monthly Honorarium:

  • BS-17 Positions: Rs. 45,000/-

  • BS-16 Positions: Rs. 40,000/-
