General Eligibility & Requirements

To be eligible for these internship roles, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

• Educational Background: * For SSET roles: M.A, M.Ed, or BS (1st Division/Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field (Deaf, Physical, or Visual).

  • For JSET roles: M.A or BS (2nd Division/Grade-C) in Special Education with relevant field specialization.

  • Certifications: Candidates for Visual Impaired fields must have a Certificate of Proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education, Punjab.

• Residency: Applicants must be residents of Punjab.

• Age Limit: Between 21 to 28 years. Note that no age relaxation will be granted under the STI Policy.

• Experience: Fresh candidates are encouraged to apply, though preference may be given to those with prior teaching experience.

• University Recognition: All degrees must be from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Terms & Conditions

• Nature of Post: Purely temporary, non-pensionable, school-specific, and non-transferable.

• Duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during the financial years 2025-26 & 2026-27.

• Stipend: * BS-17: Rs. 45,000/- per month.

  • BS-16: Rs. 40,000/- per month.

• Termination: Engagement is liable to termination on one month's notice from either side.
