Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
The General Manager Internal Audit serves as the head of the Internal Audit function, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the company's financial and operational systems. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the planning and supervision of audit/risk assignments, including financial, IT, and performance audits. Responsibilities include preparing comprehensive audit plans aligned with organizational risks, assessing the efficacy of risk management efforts, and evaluating internal controls. The GM will also investigate potential fraud or waste, ensure compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance, and provide regular feedback to the Board Audit Committee (BAC).
Qualifications and Professional Experience
Candidates applying for this leadership role must hold professional certifications such as CA, ICMA, CIA, CFE, or CICA. All academic degrees must be from HEC-recognized institutions. The ideal candidate should have 11 to 15 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years specifically in a senior management position within the Audit Department of a comparable organization. The maximum age limit for this position is 40 years.

To succeed in this role, applicants must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise sound, unbiased judgment. Proficiency in managing time and heavy workloads is essential, particularly for planning and prioritizing complex audit assignments.
