Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is offering career opportunities in a challenging engineering environment. They are seeking qualified professionals for 17 diverse trades of Shipbuilding on a contract basis.

 

Current Vacancies & Positions

KS&EW is hiring for over 300+ positions across technical and administrative departments. Key roles include:

1. Management & Engineering Roles

• Assistant / Deputy Manager (Hull Eng): Sections include Fabrication, Junctioning, Joinery, and Painting/Grit Blasting.

• Assistant / Deputy Manager (Document Reproduction & Distribution): Requires experience in AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

• Assistant Manager (Machinery Movement/Transfer System): BE in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Material required.

2. Supervisory & Technical Staff

• Sr. Supervisor / Supervisor: Specialties in Pipe Fabrication, Welding, Steel Fabrication, and Electrical.

• Sr. Technician / Technical Assistant: Roles in Work Order Writing, QHSE, and Quality Control (QC) for Hull, Welding, and Mechanical.

• QC-NDT Technicians: RT, UT, MPI/DP, and Dark Room Operators.

• CAD / Ansys Operators: Experience in Pro-E, SolidWorks, and Ansys modeling.

3. Skilled Trades (Technicians)

Over 230 positions are available for various trades:

• Welding: SMAW (X-Ray), CO2, TIG/GTAW, and Gouger.

• Fabrication: Steel Fabricator, Light Steel Fabricator, and Pipe Fabricator.

• Maintenance & Operations: Ship Painter, Grit Blaster, Electrical, Mechanical, and Machining.

4. Support & Administration

• Internal Transport Driver: Tractor and Fork Lifter Operators.

• Office Assistant / Sub Assistant: Requires MS Office proficiency and typing speed of 30 WPM.

• Technical Store Keeper / Assistant Store Keeper.

• Unskilled Laborer & Sanitary Worker.

 

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifications: Range from BE/B.Tech and DAE to Matric/Middle depending on the role.

• Age Limit: Generally up to 45 years for technical roles and up to 30 years for unskilled positions.

• Experience: Most technical roles require 2–10 years of relevant field experience.
