Eligibility Criteria

 

To be considered for the Steno Typist position, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree (at least 2nd Division or equivalent CGPA) from an HEC recognized University.

• MS Office Certificate from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE).

2. Technical Skills

• Shorthand Certificate: 6-month certificate in shorthand and English Typing from an SBTE recognized institute.

• Shorthand Speed: 120 words per minute (wpm).

• Typing Speed: 35 words per minute (wpm) in English Typing on a computer.

3. Mandatory Screening Test

• Applicants must have passed the General Screening Test (Graduation and Intermediate Category) conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS) with at least 40% marks. A valid STS certificate is required.

Important Terms & Conditions

• Domicile: Only candidates possessing a Sindh Province domicile are eligible to apply.

• Age Relaxation: In addition to the 18–28 age bracket, a general upper age relaxation of 5 years is applicable as per Sindh Government rules.

• Government Employees: Current government servants must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.

• Selection Process: Candidates must appear before the Department Selection Committee with original documents as per the schedule uploaded on the Job Portal. No TA/DA will be provided.
