The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), Transport and Mass Transit Department, Government of Sindh, has published a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) for hiring individual consultants under the World Bank-funded Karachi Mobility Project (Yellow Line Corridor BRT - Credit No. IBRD-8995-PK).

This consultancy assignment invites qualified, experienced, and dynamic individual experts to contribute to the development of urban mass transit infrastructure in Karachi.

Terms & Conditions

• Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an HEC-recognized university in Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering, or a relevant discipline. Foreign qualification will be an added advantage.

• Experience Requirements: At least 05 years of post-qualification experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental management planning, health and safety planning/design, monitoring, training, auditing, and SHE&Q activities. Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS/ISO 45001, and ISO 22000 standards is preferred.

• Donor-Funded Experience: Working experience on urban infrastructure projects funded by donor agencies (consultancy + works) will be given preference.

• Selection Process: An individual consultant will be selected in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018).

• Conflict of Interest Policy: Candidates must adhere to the World Bank provisions regarding conflict of interest as outlined in paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the Procurement Regulations.
