Available Vacancies and Sections

1. Explosive Detection Section (EDS)

  • Assistant Supervisor (EDS) (BS-09): 09 posts available. The required age limit is 21 to 40 years. Candidates must possess a Higher Secondary School Certificate, a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board, along with a certification in a Bomb Disposal Course and at least two years of related field experience. Alternatively, retired Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) or non-commissioned officers from the armed forces with a Bomb Disposal certification and requisite field experience are eligible.

  • Operator (EDS) (BS-05): 13 posts available. The required age limit is 18 to 40 years. Candidates must hold a Secondary School Certificate (second division) from a recognized board and a technical certificate (at least 6 months duration) in electrical, electronics, mechanical, chemical, civil, information technology, or radio and TV mechanics. Retired non-commissioned officers or soldiers with technical qualifications and experience can also apply.

2. Surveillance Section (SS)

  • Senior Operator (Surveillance Section) (BS-07): 02 posts available. The required age limit is 21 to 40 years. Applicants need a Secondary School Certificate (second division), an intelligence course certification, at least five years of relevant field experience, and knowledge of Information Technology, Computer Science, or Telecommunication. Retired non-commissioned officers or soldiers with an intelligence certification and field experience are also eligible.

  • Operator (Surveillance Section) (BS-05): 08 posts available. The required age limit is 18 to 40 years. It requires a Secondary School Certificate (second division), an intelligence course certification, at least three years of relevant field experience, and knowledge of Information Technology, Computer Science, or Telecommunication. Retired military personnel meeting similar criteria are also welcome to apply.

3. Canine Section (CS)

  • Senior Canine Handler (Canine Section) (BS-07): 01 post available. The required age limit is 21 to 40 years. Candidates must be at least Middle pass and hold a certification in a basic dog handling course with 5 years of experience. Retired military personnel with a basic dog handling course and requisite experience are also eligible.

  • Canine Handler (Canine Section) (BS-05): 18 posts available. The required age limit is 18 to 40 years. It requires a Primary pass and a basic dog handling course certification with at least two years of experience. Retired soldiers (or above ranks) with equivalent dog handling credentials can also apply.

Written Examination and Test Pattern

To qualify for selection, applicants must pass a written examination. Each part of the written test carries a mandatory minimum passing score of 40%.

Standard Paper Composition (For EDS and SS Positions)

The standard examination features a total of 100 marks, split into two primary segments:

  • Part 1 (General & Language Subjects): This section consists of 50 total marks, requiring a minimum passing score of 20 marks. It covers General Knowledge and Pakistan Studies (9+8+8=25 marks via MCQs), Urdu (12 marks, subjective), and English (13 marks, subjective). Candidates must pass both the MCQ and subjective components to avoid overall failure.

  • Part 2 (Technical Subject): This section features 50 marks evaluated entirely through MCQs, with a minimum passing score of 20 marks.

Paper Composition for Canine Handlers (BS-05)

The examination for the Canine Section also consists of 100 total marks, structured into two equal sections where candidates must pass both parts:

  • Part 1 (Theoretical): Includes 50 marks of MCQs specifically relating to Canine Handling, with a passing threshold of 20 marks.

  • Part 2 (Practical): Includes 50 marks focused on practical application, including Canine Training, Handling, Vaccination, and Care, with a passing threshold of 20 marks.

Important Terms & Conditions

  • Contract Duration: Appointments are initially offered on a 3-year contract, which can be extended based on performance evaluation.

  • Interview Ratio: Candidates who clear the written test will be called for interviews at a ratio of 1:3 against the advertised positions.

  • No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be provided for the test or interview process.
