District Education Officer (Special Education) Gujrat is inviting applications from eligible candidates for hiring School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in Special Education Institutions of Gujrat Division, including District Gujrat and Mandi Bahauddin. These positions are offered under the STI policy of the Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department. List of Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria

• (01 Senior Special Education Teacher HI Field): BS-17 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of deaf and 21 to 36 years age limit.

• (02 Senior Special Education Teacher HI Field): BS-17 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of deaf and 21 to 36 years age limit.

• (02 Junior Special Education Teacher HI Field): BS-16 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of deaf and 21 to 38 years age limit.

• (02 Junior Special Education Teacher VI Field): BS-16 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of blind along with a certificate of proficiency in Braille and 21 to 38 years age limit.

• (01 Senior Special Education Teacher VI Field): BS-17 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of visual impairment along with a certificate of proficiency in Braille and 21 to 36 years age limit.

• (01 Junior Special Education Teacher VI Field): BS-16 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of blind along with a certificate of proficiency in Braille and 21 to 38 years age limit.

• (01 Senior Special Education Teacher PD Field): BS-17 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of physically disabled or handicapped and 21 to 36 years age limit.

• (01 Junior Special Education Teacher PD Field): BS-16 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field physically disabled and 21 to 38 years age limit.

• (01 Senior Special Education Teacher MC Field): BS-17 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field of mentally challenged and 21 to 36 years age limit.

• (01 Junior Special Education Teacher MC Field): BS-16 with MA or BS in Special Education with specialization in the field mentally challenged and 21 to 38 years age limit.

Terms & Conditions

• Engagement shall be purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.

• Preference may be given to candidates having teaching experience.

• Duration is for the financial year 2026-27 (excluding summer vacations) or till the arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier.

• Monthly honorarium is Rs. 40,000/- for BS-16 and Rs. 45,000/- for BS-17.

• No right of regular appointment shall be conferred.

• Performance and attendance will be strictly monitored by concerned authorities.

• Engagement may be terminated on one month's notice or payment in lieu thereof.

• Incomplete or late applications shall not be entertained.

• Candidates must bring original documents at the time of interview.

• The department reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
