General Eligibility Criteria

The Special Education Department encourages men, women, and transgenders to apply. The following general standards apply:

• Age Limit: All applicants must be between 21 and 28 years of age.

• Academic Qualifications:

  • For BS-17 (Senior Roles): M.A, M.Ed, or BS (1st Division/Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field (Deaf or Mentally Challenged).

  • For BS-16 (Junior Roles): M.A or BS (2nd Division/Grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field (Deaf, Blind, or Mentally Challenged).

• Specific Requirement for V.I: Candidates for Visually Impaired (V.I) posts must possess a Certificate of Proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education Punjab.

• Experience: While fresh candidates are encouraged, preference will be given to those with prior teaching experience.

Terms & Monthly Honorarium

• Duration: The engagement is for 09 months (excluding summer vacations).

• Honorarium:

  • BS-17: Rs. 45,000/- per month.

  • BS-16: Rs. 40,000/- per month.

• Nature of Job: The internship is purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable. It does not confer any right to regular appointment.

5. Interview Date: Interviews will be held on May 06, 2026, at 09:30 AM at the office of the Principal of the aforementioned school.
