State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, Pakistan's largest life & health insurer, is seeking to hire a Shariah Advisor for its Window Takaful Operations namely "Tayyab Takaful". The hiring is in accordance with SECP's Shariah Advisors Regulations, 2017, and Rule 9(b) of Takaful Rules, 2012. The appointment will be made on a contract basis for an initial period of three (03) years, extendable upon mutual consent. General Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualifications (Any one of the following):

  • Shahadat-ul-Aalamiyyah Degree (Dars-e-Nizami) from any recognized Board of Madaris with minimum 70% marks AND a Bachelor's degree recognized by HEC Pakistan with minimum $2^{\text{nd}}$ Class.

  • Post-Graduate Degree in Kuliyyatush Shariah, Kuliyyah Usooluddin, L.L.M (Shariah), MS Shariah, or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university.

• Work Experience Requirements (Any one or combination):

  • At least 4 years of experience in giving Shariah rulings in fiqh (preferably fiqh-ul-muamulat / Islamic commercial jurisprudence, including Takhasus-fil-Ifta).

  • At least 5 years of experience in teaching, research, or training in Islamic financial services.

  • At least 5 years of experience working in relevant departments of an institution offering Islamic financial services.

  • At least 5 years of experience in relevant departments of a banking, securities, or insurance/Takaful regulator.

  • Preference: Candidates with direct experience as a Shariah Advisor for a Pension Fund Manager, Dedicated Family Takaful, or Window Takaful Operations will be given preference.

• Integrity & Soundness Standards: Candidate must not have been associated with any illegal activity (especially in insurance/takaful/fund management/banking) and must not be in default of payments to any financial institution or tax authorities.

• SECP Clearance: Appointment is subject to final clearance from SECP.
