• Position Title: Unit Head Central & North Litigation

• Division / Group: Litigation Division (Legal Group)

• Grade: Band-5 to Band-3

• No. of Positions: 01

• Duty Location: Lahore

• Qualification: Minimum LLB or relevant degree from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university/institute.

• Experience Requirements: Minimum 09 years of relevant experience in Litigation, Banking Laws, Criminal Laws, Corporate, and Recovery Laws.

• Age Limit: Maximum up to 55 years as on the date of application.

• Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise rights and interests of the Bank by effectively overseeing the litigation portfolio of different Business Units (BUs), such as SME, RFD, ACD, HRG, and other cases.

  • Manage and supervise vetting of plaints, petitions, CPLA, CP, CA, replications, appeals, and representations before filing in Courts of competent jurisdiction or Quasi-Judicial forums, ensuring timely issuance of Power of Attorney (POA) to external legal counsels.

  • Vet, supervise, and provide legal guidance on settlement and compromise agreements to facilitate amicable resolutions within legal frameworks.

  • Manage and liaise with external counsels to ensure attendance before Courts and defend the Bank’s interests.

  • Coordinate with BUs and Relationship Managers (RMs) to pass clear instructions and documents to external counsels in all litigation matters.

  • Recommend qualified lawyers for empanelment and process approval notes for defalcated amounts per legal SOPs.
