The University of Balochistan, Quetta, a premier public-sector higher learning institution, invites applications from qualified, competent, and visionary professionals for the executive position of Controller of Examinations (BPS-20). The Office of the Controller of Examinations serves as a vital administrative and academic organ of the university, tasked with planning, coordinating, conducting, and administering examinations, as well as managing academic records and ensuring the timely declaration of results.

• Position Title: Controller of Examinations

• Pay Scale / Grade: BPS-20

• Educational Qualification: MS/M.Phil./18 years of education or equivalent qualification (at least Second Division) from a university or institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

• Experience Requirements:

  • At least 17 years of post-qualification teaching or administrative experience in a university, degree-awarding institution, examination board, government department, autonomous body, or reputable educational organization, including experience in a post equivalent to BPS-17 or above; OR

  • At least 05 years of post-qualification experience in a position equivalent to BPS-19 or above with demonstrated responsibility for academic, examination, or senior administrative matters.

  • Mandatory Requirement: Under either experience path, the candidate must possess at least 05 years of experience specifically handling examination affairs in a reputable educational organization, including direct responsibility for conducting examinations and compiling/declaring results involving at least 10,000 candidates.

• Preferences:

  • Candidates holding a Ph.D. or higher relevant qualification from an HEC-recognized university/institution will be preferred.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience as Controller of Examinations, Deputy Controller of Examinations, or Director/Head of Examinations.

  • Candidates with demonstrated experience in digitization, automation of examination systems, online examination setup, result management, examination reforms, and policy implementation will be preferred.

Terms & Conditions

• Upper Age Limit: 55 Years.

• Nature of Appointment: Contract basis for a period of four (04) years (Non-extendable).

• All experience will be calculated from the date of acquiring the prescribed qualification and must be verified with valid documentary evidence.

• Experience in handling examinations or results for at least 10,000 candidates must be explicitly certified by the concerned university, examination board, or organization.

• Candidates serving in government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, or public-sector organizations must provide proper channel/departmental permission.
