The Area Study Centre for Europe (ASCE) at the University of Karachi is seeking highly qualified and experienced Pakistani nationals for senior academic and administrative leadership roles. These positions are offered on a contract or deputation basis.

Eligibility and Experience Requirements

• Director: Requires a PhD in European Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or General History. Applicants must have at least 15 years of teaching/research experience and a minimum of 15 research publications.

• Assistant Professor: Requires a PhD in relevant fields (European Studies preferred). This is a one-year extendable contract with a fixed salary of Rs. 80,000/- per month.

• Age Limit: Upper age limit for the Director position is 55 years.

• Submission Requirements: * Submit 06 hard copies of the application, duly bound.

  • Include a soft copy (PDF) of the complete dossier on the prescribed proforma.

  • Attach attested copies of degrees, experience certificates, CNIC, Domicile, and two recent photographs.

• Fees: A Pay Order of Rs. 5000/- in favor of the University of Karachi must accompany the application.

• Deadline: Applications must reach the office of the Deputy Registrar (Academics) within 30 days of the advertisement's publication.
