The Government of Gilgit Baltistan, through the Office of the Project Director (W&P Department), has announced exciting career opportunities for its landmark 100 MW Solarization of GB Project. This PSDP-funded project aims to establish distributed solar photovoltaic (DPV) plants across various sites in the region.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates with a Gilgit-Baltistan domicile for several technical and administrative positions on a contractual basis for one year (extendable).

Available Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria

The project is seeking a mix of highly experienced engineers and support staff.

Engineering & Technical Roles

• Resident Engineer (Civil) – PPS-08 Requires a BSc/B.E. in Civil Engineering (PEC registered) with at least 8 years of post-degree experience in the power sector, preferably in renewable energy or PSDP projects. Max Age: 45 Years.

• Resident Engineer (Electrical) – PPS-08 Requires a BSc/B.E. in Electrical Engineering (PEC registered) with 8 years of relevant power sector experience. Higher degrees in project management are preferred. Max Age: 45 Years.

• Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil/Electrical) – PPS-07 Requires a relevant Engineering degree with 5 years of post-degree experience, focusing on renewable energy projects. Max Age: 40 Years.

• Sub Engineer (Civil/Electrical) – PPS-04 Requires a 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in the relevant technology with 5 years of experience in renewable energy. Max Age: 35 Years.

Administrative & Support Roles

• Accounts Officer (PPS-07): Requires an MBA, M.Com, or MSc in Economics with 8 years of experience in handling project accounts and progress reports.

• Computer Operator (PPS-06): Requires graduation with a 1-year IT diploma and 5 years of relevant experience.

• LDC (PPS-04): Requires second-class graduation and 3 years of experience as a clerk with computer proficiency.

• Support Staff: Positions are also available for Drivers (LTV/HTV license required), Office Attendants, and Chowkidars (Middle school education required).

Important Terms and Conditions

• Domicile: Only candidates holding a Gilgit-Baltistan domicile are eligible to apply.

• Quotas: Reserved quotas for disabled persons, women, and non-Muslims will be applied as per government rules.

• Gender: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Documents: Applications must include attested copies of educational certificates, experience letters, CNIC, domicile, and one passport-size photograph.
