General Eligibility & Qualification Criteria

To be considered for these prestigious positions, candidates must meet the following unified criteria:

Educational Background

• Shahadat ul Aalamiyyah degree (Dars-e-Nizami) from a recognized Board of Madaris, supplemented by a Bachelor’s Degree (outside of the Madaris degree).

• OR a Post Graduate Degree in Kuliyyatush Shariah, Kuliyyah Usooluddin, L.L.M. (Shariah), or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.

Professional Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in providing Shariah rulings (including Takhassus fil Ifta).

• OR at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in teaching, Research, or Development within Islamic Banking and Finance.

• Preference is given to candidates with certificates in Takhassus fil Fiqh or Takhassus fil Ifta.

Required Expertise

• Deep understanding of general banking, finance, and Islamic finance.

• Strong command over Fiq ul Muama'lat, Islamic jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), and methodologies for deriving juristic opinions.

• Ability to research and analyze Shariah issues under the guidance of the State Bank of Pakistan.
